Project Manager

DevelopmentNow is a growing, leading-edge digital agency founded in 2005 located in the vibrant Central Eastside district of Portland. Our office shares the neighborhood with many partnering digital agencies and creative firms, plus we are close to the best coffeeshops this side of the Burnside Bridge.

We are looking to add a Project Manager to our fast growing team. You’ll act as the first point of our contact for our clients, walking them through the development process from concept to creation. Internally, you’ll be the heartbeat that synchronizes our efforts, keeping us on task and on target.

Our ideal candidate has a basic understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies, can thrive in a fast-paced agency environment and unreasonably excited about mobile and web development.

The job responsibilities for the Project Manager include:

  • ​Understanding and drafting Statements Of Work (SOW) and scope on projects.

  • Coordinating projects from kickoff to post mortem.

  • Act as the client point of contact: Responding to client communications in a timely manner, coordinating with clients/developers to facilitate project completion, emailing weekly status reports to clients, coordinating and leading client meetings.

  • Proactively identify risks and issues on programs and projects and leading team in managing and resolving these issues.

  • Attending daily standups and meeting for projects, as well as some off-site client meetings.

  • Proactively following up on team and client deliverables.

  • Monitoring the ticket tracking system.

  • Coordinating with the QA team to ensure that client deliverables meet quality standards.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 2-3 years experience working in an agency environment with digital products
  • Solid understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies.

  • Experience with mobile, web and other digital product development

  • Familiar with PM tools such as Basecamp, Jira, Asana, etc.

The position will be contract-to-hire, or direct-hire, depending on the candidate, at 40 hours per week. This position requires you to work with us in our office, so local candidates only.
